Lawrence "Pete" Leeson's Obituary
Lawrence "Pete" Leeson, 77, of Sebring, passed away on Thursday, August 21, 2014 at his home. He was born on October 8, 1936 in Fairmont, West Virginia to Lindsey and Gladys (Hayhurst) Leeson and lived in the Alliance and Sebring areas for most of his life. Pete retired as a Manager from SanCap after 30 years of service and later worked part time at the Beloit IGA and also Keller Marketing. He was a member of the Roma Society, Dante Alighieri Society, Loyal Order of the Moose, Sebring VFW, and the Sebring American Legion. Pete enjoyed playing golf, pitching softball, bowling, throwing darts and shooting pool. He was a trained stone mason and enjoyed working on home improvement projects. Lawrence is survived by his three sons, Randal (Mary) Leeson of Akron; Jeffrey Leeson of Alliance; Lawrence Ed (Kim) Leeson of Sebring; his daughter, Cynthia Leeson of Alliance; former wife, Nancy Adkins of Alliance; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his former wife, Eileen E. (Steed) Leeson; his parents; and two brothers, Don Leeson, Ray Leeson. The family will receive friends at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Wednesday, August 27, 2014 from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm. His funeral service will begin at 1:00 pm, with Pastor Randy Payne, of Alliance Baptist Temple, officiating. Interment will follow at Highland Memorial Park.
