LaVonda Peate's Obituary
LaVonda Peate, 78, of Alliance, died on Tuesday, August 9, 2005, at 8:10 a.m., at the Hanover House, in Massillon. She was born in Sebring on March 5, 1927, and had lived most of her life in Alliance area. A member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, she retired from Dairy Mart as Assistant Manager in 1989. Mrs. Peate is survived by her husband, Harold Peate of 55 years, a daughter, Shelly Speakman of Columbus; three sons, Dennis H. Peate, Roger M. Peate and Christopher Peate all of Alliance; three granddaughters, Raquel Speakman, Tiffany Peate and Jessica Peate; two grandsons, Shawn Fitzelle and Kaleb Peate; two nieces, Maurine Partlow of Beloit and Diane Kast of Massachusetts; and two nephews, Douglas Wolfe of Sebring and Bruce Clair of Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents, Homer J. and Emma (Oliver) Wolfe; a sister, Lucy Mae Clair and two brothers, Dr. John Newton Wolfe and Robert J. Wolfe. Friends may call at the Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Monday August 15, 2005, from 9:00 - 10:00 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at St. Joseph Catholic Church on Monday, August 15, 2005, at 10:30 a.m. with the Rev. Fr. Michael Seifert as celebrant. Interment will follow at Highland Memorial Park.
