Laurie M. "Myrtle" Dailey's Obituary
Laurie M. “Myrtle” Dailey, 53, of Lecanto, Florida, went home to be with her Lord on Monday, March 9, 2015 at 4:12 pm in Lecanto, Florida.
Born on July 6, 1961 in Alliance, to William and Lois (Salisbury) Dailey, Laurie was a 1979 graduate of Alliance High School.
A graduate of Bridgewater State University in Massachusetts, Laurie was employed as a Nurse for over 20 years.
She lived in Lecanto, Florida for the past eight years and was a member of St. Scholastica Catholic Church in Lecanto, Florida.
She was a member of CHRP, and the Florida Nurses Association.
Laurie enjoyed traveling, reading and spending time with her family.
Survivors include three daughters, Jennifer Voss of East Bridgewater, MA, Jessica Rodriguez of South Easton, MA, and Brittani (Charles) Barnes of Minerva; her mother, Lois (Salisbury) Dailey of Alliance; three sisters, Robin (William) Scalero of Alliance, Mary (Ezekiel) Fernandez of Alliance, and Cheryl Dailey of Paris; a brother, William (Cheryl) Dailey Jr. of Salem; her life-long partner, Arnold Girdharry of Lecanto, FL; nine grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and her companion, Zoe.
Preceding her in death was her father, William Dailey, Sr.
The family will receive friends at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Thursday, March 19, 2015 from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm.
Her Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church on Friday, March 20, 2015 at 10:00 am, with Fr. Edward Gretchko, as celebrant. Interment will follow at Highland Memorial Park.
