Larry O. Higgins' Obituary
Larry O. Higgins, 76, of Alliance, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 15, 2025 at 7:30 am at his home in Alliance, Ohio.
Born on January 25, 1949 in Alliance to Clarence and Hazel (Moresworth) Higgins, he lived in the Beloit and Alliance areas for most of his life.
A 1968 graduate of West Branch High School, he also graduated from Walsh University.
A veteran of the Vietnam War, he served our country in the U.S. Marines and then worked as a guard at the Pentagon.
He was a member of the American Legion, Post 166 and also several other Veterans associations.
Larry was employed at Sancap and retired after 30 years of service.
Larry enjoyed golfing, fishing, going to concerts, but loved entertaining neighbors and friends, especially cookouts at his home.
Survivors include his very close friend, Joanie Beltz of Alliance; a son, Jesse Hill of Alliance; his grandchildren; his sister, Wanda Burkhart of Alliance; a niece, Jeanie (Gabe) Gomez of Indiana; a brother Mark (Debbie) Higgins of WV; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
Preceding him in death were his parents; a brother, David Higgins; and half-sister Ilene Moresworth.
The family will receive friends on Friday, June 20, 2025 from 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home. His Funeral Service will begin at 1:00 pm.
