Larry M. Faith's Obituary
Larry Martin Faith, 55, of Alliance, died Monday morning, September 23, 2002 at his home. Born in Alliance on June 17, 1947, he had been a resident of Alliance all of his life. A graduate of Alliance High School and Kent State University, he also served our country during the Vietnam War with the United States Army in Korea. While stationed in Korea, he was the president of an orphanage. He was a Claims Specialist for State Farm Insurance in Boardman, and previously was a co-owner of the Williamsburg Press from 1975 - 1986. A member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, he was currently a Lector and also the current secretary of St. Vincent DePaul Society. He was a past president of St. Joseph Parish Council and a former CCD Teacher. Larry's love for sports had him active with the Alliance Hot Stove Program, where he had been an umpire and coach for many years. He was a past president and a former secretary for the Alliance High School Booster Club and was currently involved in Color Commentary with WDPN Radio for area high school football and basketball games. Mr. Faith is survived by his wife, Linda K. (Sims) Faith, whom he married on April 24, 1981; four daughters, Shannon M. of Cincinnati, Kelly A. of Dublin, Megan L. of Alliance, and Molly A. of Alliance; a sister, Mrs. Ric (Laura) Brienza of Alliance; 8 nieces and 18 nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Willis V. and Wilma (Bissler) Faith. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church on Friday, September 27, 2002, at 2:00 p.m. with the Rev. Fr. Donald L. Feicht as celebrant. Burial, with Military Honors, will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Thursday, September 26, 2002, from 6:00 - 9:00 p.m.
