Landis Allison's Obituary
Landis Allison, 78, of Alliance, passed away on Monday, March 24, 2014 at 12:05 p.m. at his home. He was born on May 4, 1935 in Alum Bank, Pennsylvania and lived in Alliance for most of his life. Landis retired as a Foreman from B & W Tubular Products after 331/2 years of service. He was a member of AARP and the Fraternal Order of Eagles. Landis is survived by his step-daughter, Sandra (Thomas) Ratliff of Alliance, OH; step-son, Gary D. Wilson of Alliance, OH; three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two sisters, Lela Ickes of Osterburg, PA and Margaret Snowden of New Paris, PA; two brothers, Jay Allison and Wayne Allison both of Alum Bank, PA; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Susan J. (Wayne) Allison on October 25, 2011,whom he married on October 18, 1989; two sisters, Mae Hollis and Mildred Sponaugle; three brothers, Clark Allison, Earl Allison and Ernest Allison; his parents, Ralph and Eva (Harbaugh) Allison; and his granddaughter, Marcia Marie Baddeley. Graveside services will be held at Highland Memorial Park on Friday, March 28, 2014 at 1:00 pm, with Rev. Joseph A. Peters, officiating. Interment will follow at Highland Memorial Park. There are no calling hours.
