L. Eugene Zumbar's Obituary
L. Eugene Zumbar, 83, of Alliance, died on Sunday, July 7, 2002, at 6:30 a.m. at Mercy Medical Center. Born in Alliance, on November 27, 1918, he had lived all his life in Alliance. A 1937 graduate of Alliance High School, he was retired after 43 years of service from Morgan Engineering as a machine shop inspector. He was a member of the First United Presbyterian Church, the Roma Society, the Christopher Columbus Society, and Morgan Retirees Club. Survivors include his wife, Mary (Comanitz) Zumbar, whom he married on May 21, 1960; twin daughters and sons-in-law, Constance and Larry Tissier of Parrish, FL and Patricia and Gerald Fields of Gresham, OR; son and daughter-in-law, Kevin Scott and Kathleen Zumbar of Fernandina Beach, FL; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; sister, Flora Street of Richmond, OH and several nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death was his son, L. Eugene Zumbar, Jr.; and his parents, Louis and Bula (Shuster) Zumbar. The family will receive friends at the Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Thursday, July 25, 2002 from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. Funeral services will be held at the Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Thursday, July 25, 2002, at 11:00 a.m., with Dr. William J. Sadler, officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Memorial Park.
