Kristy Joan Wheatley 's Obituary
Kristy Joan (Schneider) Wheatley, 68, of Alliance, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, July 13, 2018 at 1:25 am at Community Care Center in Alliance.
Born on April 12, 1950 in Alliance, to Thomas and Margaret "Sis" (Cassidy) Schneider, she lived in Alliance all her life.
Kristy was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.
A 1968 Graduate of Alliance High School, she also attended Kent State University.
Kristy was Co-Owner of Schneider Dance and Gymnastics and retired after 35 years of coaching.
She was a member of the USAG - United States Gymnastics Professionals and the AAU - Amateur Athletic Union.
Kristy played the harp, enjoyed drawing, was an avid golfer, loved traveling and taking her trained therapy dogs to nursing homes.
Survivors include her son, Brian Wheatley of Alliance; her beloved Shorkie, Meli ehu; her sister-in-law, Debbie (Wheatley) Middleton; brother-in-law, Gary Wheatley; several nieces, nephews and cousins; and numerous close friends.
Preceding her in death was her husband, Paul Wheatley; and her parents.
The family will receive friends of Kristy and her mother, Margaret “Sis” Schneider, on Thursday, July 19, 2018 from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Kristy and her mother, Margaret “Sis” Schneider will be offered on Friday, July 20, 2018 at 10:30 am at St. Joseph Catholic Church, with Rev. Matthew J. Mankowski as celebrant. Burial will take place in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery at a later date.
