Kenneth J. Sankey, II's Obituary
Kenneth J. Sankey II, 56, of Alliance, died on Friday, November 8, 2002 at 5:00 p.m. at the University Hospital in Cleveland following a short illness. He was born in Alliance on July 22, 1946 and had lived in Alliance all his life. A 1968 graduate of Kent State University, he retired as the District Supervisor for the Bureau of Services for the Visually Impaired State of Ohio Rehabilitation Commission after 33 years of service, and was a member of Regina Coeli Catholic Church. Survivors include his wife, Mary (Seachrist) Sankey, whom he married on December 28, 1968; his daughter, Kelly Fisher of Port Clinton; his mother, Eileen (Casey) Sankey of Alliance; a sister, Janice Kovitch of Cleveland; three nieces and five nephews. Preceding him in death were his father, Kenneth J. Sankey Sr.; and an infant sister. Friends may call at the Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Wednesday, November 13, 2002, from 7:00-9:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Regina Coeli Catholic Church on Thursday, November 14, 2002, at 10:00 a.m., with the Rev. Fr. Patrick J. Manning as celebrant. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
