Kenneth Leroy Hunt's Obituary
Kenneth Leroy Hunt, 87, of Alliance, died on Friday, December 29, 2006, at 12:30 p.m., at Alliance Community Hospital. He was born on December 14, 1919, in Alliance, and has lived in Alliance since 1990, after moving here from Northfield. Ken was a 1938 graduate of Deerfield High School and a graduate of the General Motors Institute. He retired from General Motors as a maintenance foreman and had also been previously employed as a maintenance foreman at Morgan Engineering. He was a U. S. Army veteran of WWII and a member of the American Legion Post #166. Ken was a member of the First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). He is survived by his son, Rev. Philip H. (Rolanda) Hunt of Coshocton; two grandsons, Gregory (Stephanie) Hunt of High Point, NC, and Timothy Hunt of Coshocton; two brothers, Edward (Evelyn) Hunt of Deerfield and Ronald (Delores) Hunt of Alliance; and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Hunt was preceded in death by his wife, Deloris H. (Henry) Hunt on November 18, 2001 whom he married on May 27, 1949; an infant daughter, Mary Sue Hunt; parents, Roy B. and Harriet F. (Baier) Hunt; two sisters, Evelyn Schmidt and Dorothy Henderson; and a brother, Bernard J. Hunt. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 6, 2007, at 10:00 a.m. at the First Christian Church. Interment will take place in Alliance City Cemetery.
