Keith A. Brill's Obituary
Keith A. Brill, 69, born June 26, 1941 in Alliance, Ohio, passed away Sunday, February 6, 2011, surrounded by family and friends. Keith was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Olive and Frank Lang; his paternal grandmother, Katie Lingenfelter; and his parents-in-law, Bruce and Dorothy Donaldson. Mr. Brill was a 1959 graduate of Alliance High School and a 1963 graduate of Mount Union College. He has been president and CEO of Lingenfelter-Brill, Inc. since 1968. He was a member of the Union Avenue United Methodist Church. He was also a member of the Alliance Area Chamber of Commerce, the Stark County Board of Development, and the Rotary Club. It was through Rotary that Keith sponsored a Japanese exchange student, Rinako Ito, who still considers him her "American Father." Last year Keith was honored to receive the Favazzo-Jeswald Founders award, given by the Carnation Festival, for service "above and beyond" for contributions to the city of Alliance. He was also recently honored by the Alliance Women s Club. Keith found genuine happiness in taking care of his customers and enjoying time with his family. He is survived by his wife, Peggy Brill; his parents, Kathryn and John Brill; his brother, Harold (JoDee) Brill and sister Karen Brill (Tom) McKenna; his children, Dawn (Ken) Koleszar, Scott (Carrie) Byland and Angie Brill; and his grandchildren Audrey, Kaylee, Olivia, Sophia, Chloe and Nathan. He is also survived by the loving members of his extended "Lingenfelter-Brill family." The family will receive friends at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Thursday, February 10, 2011 from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the Union Avenue United Methodist Church on Friday, February 11, 2011, at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Hoyte Wilhelm and the Rev. Kenneth Chalker co-officiating. Interment will follow at Fairmount Memorial Park.
