Kay Ferlotti's Obituary
Kay Ann (King) Ferlotti, 88, of Alliance, Ohio, passed away peacefully on May 2, 2025.
A lifelong resident of Alliance, Kay was known for her warm heart, unwavering devotion to her family, and active involvement in the community she loved. She was the beloved wife of the late Philip C. Ferlotti, with whom she shared 63 years of marriage before his passing in 2021.
Born on August 23, 1936 to the late Earl and Dorothy (Spencer) King, Kay was a 1954 graduate of Alliance High School and a 1957 graduate of the Mercy Hospital School of Nursing. She was also a longtime member of Regina Coeli Catholic Church.
Kay is survived by her children, Chip (Theresa) Ferlotti of Sebring, and Marsha (Ron) Frydrychowski of Plainfield, IL; her daughter-in-law, Patty Ferlotti of Cedar City, UT; and her cherished grandchildren: Teresa Ferlotti, Tony Ferlotti, Rebecca Ferlotti, Aaron (Laryssa) Ferlotti, Matthew (Kerrin) Ferlotti, Colleen (Jordan) Butler, David Ruske, Ronnie Frydrychowski and Lucas Frydrychowski. She is also survived by two great-grandchildren as well as several nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her husband; her sons Michael and Mark Ferlotti - whose memories she carried with her always – and her brothers Larry and Johnny King.
Kay dedicated her career to caring for others as a Registered Nurse at Alliance Community Hospital. Over the years, she served in a variety of roles — including in the emergency room, in surgery, and later in administration. Her commitment to healthcare left a lasting impact on those she served and worked alongside.
Beyond her professional life, Kay was actively involved in the Alliance community. She participated in numerous civic events and proudly served on the board of the Carnation Festival. She was also a member of the Catholic Women's Club and the B.P.O. Elks Auxiliary, where she held the role of President.
Most of all, Kay enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren, especially on family vacations, which brought her great joy.
She will be remembered for her strength, her kindness, her warm smile and the genuine care she shared with everyone around her.
The family extends heartfelt thanks to those who provided support, compassion, and friendship during Kay’s final years.
In keeping with her wishes, a private family service will be held. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice in her honor.
