Kathyrn Elizabeth Lowmiller Beadling Hoobler's Obituary
Kathyrn Elizabeth Lowmiller Beadling Hoobler, 92, of Alliance, died on Saturday, January 6, 2007, at 9:40 a.m. at her home. Born September 1, 1914 to Charles C. Lowmiller and Anne L. McKee Lowmiller, she was raised in Germano, Ohio (German Township, Harrison County). She graduated Valedictorian of Amsterdam High School in Amsterdam, Ohio. With her marriage to William C. Beadling, she leaves behind two daughters, Sharry L. Beadling of Alliance (whom she resided with and was her caregiver) and Janice L. (Jerry) Torok of Texas. With her marriage to Howard E. Hoobler, she leaves behind three stepsons, Merle (Bernise) Hoobler of Malvern, Harold (Geraldine) Hoobler of Germano, and Wayne (Eileen) Hoobler of North Carolina. Also surviving is an adopted daughter, Cindy (Randy) Phillips, of Warren, Ohio; 13 grandchildren; 32 great grandchildren; 2 great great granddaughters; 3 great great grandsons, 4 adopted grandchildren; one sister Elsie (Herman) Hines, of New Mexico; as well as several nieces and nephews. All were loved by her. Kathryn was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Harold and Charles Jr. Lowmiller, one sister Mary Miller, one great grandson, and both husbands William Beadling and Howard Hoobler. Kathryn was a member of the former Bethany Presbyterian Church of Alliance, a ruling elder in the Presbyterian Church of (Germano Steubenville Presbytery), a Sunday school teacher, a seamstress, a baker, and a 4-H leader. She received a commendation for her work with 4 -H girls at the Ohio State Fair in the 1950's. She was also a co-leader in the Boy Scouts with her first husband, William Beadling. During the World War II, she and her daughters sent daily letters and packages to each of their former Boy Scouts that were serving in the armed forces. She was an avid gardener with roses being her favorite flower. A Memorial Service will be held at the Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Saturday, January 8, 2007, at 3:00 p.m., with the Rev. Joseph A. Peters and the Rev. Peggy Hawkins, officiating. There will be no calling hours. Interment will take place at the Germano Cemetery, following cremation.
