Kathy J. Kunkle's Obituary
Kathy J. (Gurney) Kunkle, 49, of Minerva, passed away on Monday, March 17, 2014 at 5:15 am at Alliance Community Hospital. She was born on November 30, 1964 in Alliance, Ohio and lived in Minerva for most of her life. A graduate of Alliance High School, she retired as the owner of K & T Enterprises and enjoyed reading and yard care. Kathy is survived by her husband, Terry L. Kunkle, whom she married on September 17, 1988; her 2 sons, Anthony Kunkle and Brandon Kunkle both of Minerva; her father, Gene Gurney of Sebring; 2 sisters, Rhonda Curtis of Beloit and Lori Fagan of Alliance; a brother, Kevin Gurney of Alliance; and several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. She was preceded in death by her mother, Arlene (Toole) Gurney; her grandfather, Arlie Toole; her grandmother, Lydia Toole; and a brother, Mike Gurney. The family will receive friends at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Thursday, March 20, 2014 from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. Funeral Ceremony will be held at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Friday, March 21, 2014, at 11:00 a.m., with Rev. David Ashbrook, Pastor of Maximo Zion Church, officiating. Interment will follow at Highland Memorial Park. Arrangements are by Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home.
