Kathleen Jane (Williams) Mitchell's Obituary
Kathleen Jane (Williams) Mitchell, 56, of Salem, died on Thursday, March 4, 2004 at her home. She was born on April 24, 1947 in Cleveland and graduated from Mentor High School with the class of 1965. She also attended Bowling Green State University for three semesters. She graduated in 1986 from Hannah E. Mullins School of Practical Nursing. Kathy did private duty nursing from 1986 to 1994, and then returned briefly to nursing home work at McCrea Manor in 2000-2001. A graduate of the Ohio Institute of Electrology in 1995, she opened and operated A.C.M. Electrolysis in Alliance from November 1995 until December 2003. Kathy very much loved her electrolysis practice in the Alliance area and wanted her very, very dear clients to know what a great blessing it was to have them in her life. She was an assistant Sunday school teacher at St. Paul's Church in Salem in the early 1980's. She enjoyed cooking, gardening and canning for her family. She belonged to the Ovarian Cancer Support Group that met on the first Tuesday evening of each month at the American Cancer Society in Canfield. Kathy is survived by her husband of 35 years, John T. Mitchell, (they were married in May, 1968); four sons and spouses, John W. and Gina Mitchell of Thompson, OH, Matthew M. and Darby Mitchell of Salem, James A. and Debbie Mitchell of Akron, and Marc A. Mitchell of the home; six grandchildren, Harli, Jesse, Frank, Connor, Madison, and John Keipfer; her parents, Kid and Janet (Loucks) Williams of Mentor; three sisters, Dagmar (Stan) DeWees of Geneva, OH, Anita (Mike) Nelson of Delores, CO, Sheila (Lawrence) Wright of Willoughby; a brother, Brent (Joyce) Williams of Mentor; four nieces and three nephews; sister-in-law, Ruth Fisher of Rockcreek; and brother-in-law, Paul Mitchell of Pennsylvania. She was preceded in death by a niece, Colleen McCallion. Friends may call at the Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Sunday from 12:00 - 2:00 p.m.
