Kathleen A. Haidet's Obituary
Kathleen A. Haidet, 91, of Alliance, died on Monday, March 17, 2003, at 8:35 p.m. at Alliance Community Hospital. Born in Alliance on February 10, 1912, she graduated from Alliance High School and lived most of her life in the Alliance area. Mrs. Haidet was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Maximo and the Altar & Rosary Society. She was a foster mother, through the Catholic Community League and the Stark County Welfare, to many children for over 50 years. She also enjoyed traveling throughout the world. She is survived by four daughters, Virginia Walker ofVero Beach, FL, Nancy Albert of Alliance, Janet Schillig of Hartville, and Donna Bolanz of Marysville; a son, Vincent J. Haidet, Jr., of Alliance; 12 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; a sister, Sister Anne Kathleen of Caldwell, NJ; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Vincent J. Haidet, Sr. on February 12, 1997 (they were married on May 15, 1937); her parents, William and Elizabeth (Hobbins) McMahon; three sisters, Mary Frances Monter, Helen Bansberg and Beth McCracken; and three brothers, Thomas McMahon, Jack McMahon, and William McMahon. Friends may call at the Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Friday, March 21, 2003, from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Maximo on Saturday, March 22, 2003, at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Fr. Thomas J. Ungashick as celebrant. Burial will follow at Highland Memorial Park.
