Katherine E. "Kate" Jackson's Obituary
Katherine E. "Kate" Jackson, 65, of Sebring, died on Friday, October 16, 2009, at 3:30 a.m. at her home. She was born on November 25, 1943 in Alliance, and lived in this area her entire life. Kate retired as an STNA at Crandall Medical Center after 15 years of service. In her past-time, she enjoyed ceramics, crossword puzzles and especially loved spending time with her grandchildren. Kate is survived by a daughter and her companion, Ruth Agnew of the home and Ed McCartney of Baden, PA; a son and daughter-in-law, Samuel & Sheila Jackson of Sebring; a step-son and daughter-in-law, Wayne & Tamera Whaley of Homeworth; four grandchildren, Jeffery & Shawn Agnew & Jaclyn and Elizabeth Jackson; two great-grandchildren, Candyce & Allison Agnew; four sisters, Esther, Elaine, Lila Lynn & Anna Mae; five brothers, Russell, Melvin, Guy, Michael & Oscar; and several nieces & nephews. Preceding her in death was her husband, Albert Jackson on September 11, 1985, whom she married on April 12, 1963; her parents, Melvin & Mary (Davis) Bickley; a sister, Dorothy; and five brothers, Jim, James, Norman, John & Herbie. A Memorial service will be held at a later date with the Rev. David Parry, Chaplain at Copeland Oaks, officiating. There will be no calling hours. Interment will take place at Highland Memorial Park.
