Karen Hoover Dallas' Obituary
Karen Hoover Dallas, 52, of Alliance, died on Friday, February 6, 2009, at 4:42 a.m., at her home. She was surrounded by her family and people who loved her. She was born on December 17, 1956 in Canton, and graduated from Canton McKinley High School. Karen lived and worked in Alliance most of her life. Karen was a member of the William Penn Club and served as manager for 10 years. She worked full-time for Alliance Castings. She loved her jobs and made many friends through her work. She enjoyed watching football and was a great fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers. She liked sitting on the swing on her front porch, but being with her family was what she enjoyed most. They will forever remember her as a loving, caring and courageous person. Karen is survived by her husband, Michael Dallas, whom she married on January 12, 1996; her twin sister, Sharon Penturf of Alliance , sister Jerry Hoover of Sebring; and several nieces and nephews who referred to Karen as "Aunt K". Preceding her in death were her parents, James C. and Elaine (Moyer) Hoover; and a brother, Ronald Hoover. The family will receive friends at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Monday, February 9, 2009 from 2:00 - 5:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Monday, February 9, 2009 , at 5:00 p.m. with David Ray officiating. The family would like to give special thanks to the staff of Alliance Visiting Nurse and Hospice for their wonderful care.
