Julia M. (Erchick) Woolf's Obituary
Julia M. (Erchick) Woolf, 86, of Alliance, died on Sunday, March 20, 2005, at Canterbury Villa of Alliance. Julia was born in Donora, PA, on July 10, 1918. Mrs. Woolf lived most of her life in Alliance and attended St. Joseph Catholic School. She worked at the Alliance Manufacturing Company as an assembler. Julia was a hard worker, wonderful cook and avid gardener. She was a faithfully devoted member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and served as press secretary for the former Women s Guild. Traveling was also one of her loves along with being a favorite babysitter to many of her nieces. Julia loved life, family and always greeted everyone with a wave and smile. She is survived by her husband, Gerald E. Woolf whom she married on June 21, 1941; a daughter, Kathy Kress of Sebring; only granddaughter, Deanna Kress; two sisters, Katherine Short of Alliance and Clara King of Vidor, TX; five brothers, Julius Erchick, Steve Erchick, Charles Erchick, and Joe Erchick all of Alliance, and William Erchick of Middlesex, NJ; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son, Gerald Woolf, Jr.; her parents, Joseph and Catherine (Tegi) Erchick; two sisters, Marie Korleski and Josephine Dellas; and a brother, Louis m. Erchick. A Memorial Mass will be offered at St. Joseph Catholic Church on Wednesday at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Fr. Donald L. Feicht as celebrant. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. There will be no calling hours. Arrangements are being handled by the Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home.
