Judy Vineyard's Obituary
Judy Ann (Prevot) Vineyard, 80, of Canal Winchester, and formerly of Deerfield, passed away on Wednesday, June 25, 2025 surrounded by family at Grant Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio.
Born on November 21, 1944 in Ravenna to Herman "Shorty" and Catherine "Kitty" (Sabo) Prevot, she lived in Deerfield most of her life.
A 1962 graduate of Southeast High School, she was employed at Salem Community Hospital as a Unit Secretary for 25 years and retired in 2007.
She was a member of Deerfield American Legion Ladies Auxiliary.
Judy enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and attending their extracurricular activities, shopping, binge watching TV, and vacationing in Myrtle Beach.
Survivors include her son, Ronald (Karen) Vineyard of Kernersville, NC; two daughters, Cheri (Carl) Hatfield of Canal Winchester, OH and Liane Thomas of Alliance; nine grandchildren, Matthew Vineyard, Daniel Vineyard, Madeline Vineyard, Steven (Rachel Scarponi) Steagall, Brian Steagall, Abigail Steagall, Ayla (Caleb) Harwell, Paige (Mason Morrison) Vineyard and Allen Thomas; her great-grandson, Oliver Harwell; two step-grandchildren, Jacob (Kayla) Hatfield and Mackenzie Hatfield; two sisters, Osta (Fred) Reagan and Mary Jane Perry; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death was her husband, Ronald M. Vineyard, whom she married on December 21, 1963 and who died on January 28, 2009; her parents; a brother and sister-in-law, Herman "Butch" and Mary Beth Prevot; her brother-in-law, Don Carver; a niece, Georgina (Reagan) Delmont; and a nephew, Freddy Reagan.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 2, 2025 from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home and also on Thursday, July 3, 2025 from 10:00 am - 11:00 am at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home.
Her Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, July 3, 2025 at 11:00 am at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home. Burial will immediately follow at Deerfield Cemetery.
