Judith King's Obituary
Judith King, 62, of Alliance, died on Saturday, June 6, 2009 at 6:20 a.m., at Alliance Community Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on March 30, 1947 in Alliance, and lived in Alliance all of her life. She was known to many as "Mama Jude" and "Grandma Judy." A graduate of Alliance High School, Judith was employed by Genie Company. In her past-time, she enjoyed playing on the computer and especially loved spending time with her grandkids. She is survived by two daughters, Diana (Mark) Grimes Conway and LouWisa King both of Alliance; a son, James "Bub" King of the home; four grandchildren, Taylor, Bass & Annie Conway and Antonio Bell; a brother, Kenneth Grimes of Oyster Rd., Alliance; and several nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death was her husband, James King on March 14, 2009, whom she married on March 5, 1983; and her parents, Louis and Congetta (Lolli) Grimes. The family will receive friends at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Wednesday, June 10, 2009 from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Thursday, June 11, 2009, at 11:00 a.m. with the Pastor Pamela Bruno of First Christian Church officiating. Interment will follow at Alliance City Cemetery.
