Juanita Faye Krahling's Obituary
Juanita Faye Krahling, of Alliance, died on Friday, July 5, 2002, at 9:25 a.m. at her home. Born in Moorehead, Kentucky, on August 27, she had lived most of her life in the Alliance area. Mrs. Krahling was a member of the Freewill Baptist Church and the Cancer Support Group at Alliance Community Hospital. A retired nurse, she had cared for people at many area facilities, including the Canton Christian Home and Bay Pines VA Hospital in Florida. Cooking and making candy were her favorite activities. Helping at various fund- raisers, she was known by many as Candy Grandma. Survivors include her husband Karl A. Krahling; daughters, Carol Snyder and Cindy Wilson; granddaughters, Tonya Sedei and Rhonda Meadows; great-grandchildren, Payton and Sydney, all of Alliance; sisters, Betty Stevenson of Alliance and Phyllis Savage of Delroy; brother Charles Ray Turner of Pheonix, AZ; and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death were her parents, Sherman and Edith (Stigall) Turner; four sisters and two brothers. Funeral services will be held at the Freewill Baptist Church on Wednesday, July 10, 2002, at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Jimmy Holbrook officiating. Entombment will follow at Highland Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Tuesday, July 9, 2002, from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m.
