Juanita Binius' Obituary
Juanita (Puckett) Binius, 80, of Alliance, passed away on Saturday, October 26, 2013, at 3:35 p.m. at Roselawn Gardens. Born on May 13, 1933 in Morehead, KY, she lived in Alliance since 1948. Mrs. Binius was a member of Maranatha Church of God, where she was a former Sunday School Teacher and Class Secretary. She had been the Chairman of the Decorating Department and of the Cradle Roll Department. She also was a former President & Treasurer of Ladies Ministries. She retired from Heck s Department Store after 13 years, where she was employed as a Department Manager. She had previously worked at Grant s, Ponderosa & Po-Folks. In her past-time, she enjoyed gardening her flowers, outings with the church ladies and spending time with her grandchildren. Survivors include three daughters, Darlene K. Gentile, Sabrina M. (Leonard, Sr.) Bates and Corrina S. Carrozzi, all of Alliance; a son, William L. (Beth) Binius of Middlebranch, OH; a daughter-in-law, Linda Binius of Alliance, OH; 7 grandchildren, Mike & Tennika Binius, Steven & Bryn Gentile, Billie Jo & Steve Ketchum, William "BJ" Gentile & Britney, Brandon & Amanda Bates, Coty & Emily Bates, and Natalya Carrozzi; 4 step-grandchildren, Larry & Beth Bates, Sharon & Wayne VanFossen, Andy Bates, Lynn Ann & Duane Petry; 12 great-grandchildren;; 13 step-great-grandchildren; 1 step-great-great-grandchild; a brother, Grant (Jack) Harrington of Oahu, Hawaii; and several nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death was her husband, William F. Binius on January 2, 1999, whom she married on April 16, 1950; her parents, Louie and Gladys (Mabry) Puckett; a sister, Ruby (Phil) Hill; two brothers, Charles Puckett and Fred Puckett; and two sons-in-law, Steven "Farmer" Gentile and Thomas H. Carrozzi. The family will receive friends at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Thursday, October 31, 2013 from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. and also at Maranatha Church of God on Friday, November 1, 2013 from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. Her funeral service will be held at Maranatha Church of God on Friday, November 1, 2013, at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Jeffrey Caldwell and Chester Bryant of Maranatha Church of God co-officiating. Interment will follow at Highland Memorial Park. Arrangements are by the Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home, 1000 S. Union Avenue, Alliance, Ohio 44601.
