Joyce Ann (Brandt) Scott's Obituary
Joyce Ann (Brandt) Scott, 63, of Homeworth, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, October 12, 2003, following a car accident. Born in Alliance on January 3, 1940, she had been a resident of Homeworth most of her life. Mrs. Scott was a member of Middle Sandy Presbyterian Church and attended the Amatola Sunday School Class. Through her walk with Jesus she helped many to come to know Him as Savior. Joyce attended Minerva High School and was secretary for Scotty's Lift Truck Service which she and her husband operated since 1971. She enjoyed her grandchildren, traveling, country and gospel music, and riding her Harley. She is survived by daughters, Sheryl (Dick) Cawrse of Huron, Penny (Dave) Neubauer, and Theresa Carpenter, both of Alliance, and Jennifer Babcock of Huron; sons, David (Debbie) Scott, and Dale (Diane) Scott, both of Alliance, 16 grandchildren; mother, Avanell (Pearson) Dickinson of Homeworth; a step brother, Jay (Janie) Dickinson of Freeburg; aunt, Eva Mae Carter of Minerva; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Paul David Scott on Aug. 13, 2003; her father, Wayne Brandt; and her stepfather, Drexell Dickinson. The family will receive friends at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Wednesday, October 15, 2003, from 6:00 - 9:00 p.m. and at the Middle Sandy Presbyterian Church in Homeworth on Thursday, October 16, 2003, from 1:00 - 2:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the church on Thursday at 2:00 p.m. with the Rev. Tom A. Sawyer officiating. Interment will follow at Salem Greenlawn Cemetery.
