Joyce I. Kovacs' Obituary
Joyce I. Kovacs, 72, of 22838 Norman Ave., Alliance, died on Saturday, February 2, 2002, at 4:05 p.m. at her residence. Born in Akron, Ohio on September 4, 1929, she had lived in the Alliance area for most all of her life. A graduate of Alliance High School, she retired from the Alliance Manufacturing Co. Mrs. Kovacs was an active member of the Grace Cathedral in Akron, where she had been a member since 1954. Survivors include her daughter, Cindy Simons of Dawsonville, Ga; sons, Glenn W. Boyce of Alliance and Kenneth A. Boyce of Alliance; two grandchildren, Kevin Boyce of Newport, Va., and Nicholas Chrastina of Dawsonville, Ga.; two great-grandchildren; sisters, Carol Jean Raymond of Ravenna; Donna Williams of Cleveland, Roseland Boyle of Alliance, and Charlotte Noling of Alliance; a brother, Wilbert Bayless of Alliance; and several nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death were her husband, Carol Kovacs on January 26, 1994, whom she married on April 14, 1972; her parents, Elmer E. and Eunice G. (Green) Bayless; and a half brother, Edgar Moore. Funeral services will be, held at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Tuesday, February 5, 2002, at 1:00 p.m. with the Rev. Bob Hoffman and the Rev. Chris Machamen, officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Memorial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday, February 4, 2002, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
