Josephine T. (Kelly) Schmidt's Obituary
Josephine T. (Kelly) Schmidt, 84, of Alliance, died on Wednesday, November 12, 2003, at 8:37 p.m. at the Community Care Center. Born in Franklin, PA, on August 11, 1919, she had been a resident Alliance for most of her life. Mrs. Schmidt is a member of Regina Coeli Catholic Church and had served as a Eucharistic Minister. She was a Pink Lady at Alliance Community Hospital and had volunteered for the Hot Lunch Program with the Knights of Columbus. She enjoyed bowling and was a member of the Swinging 60's Bowling League. She is survived by her husband John R. Schmidt, whom she married on October 28, 1994; eight daughters, JoAnn (Kenneth) Cope, Loretta (Thomas) Martin, Patricia (Robert) Schwartz, Veronica (Richard) Zink, Kittie Dalo, Cheryl (Raymond) McCaulley, Gail (Bryan) Andrie, Nancy (Patrick) Fleming; a son, Paul C. (Olivia) Kelly Jr.; a step- daughter, Cheryl (Mike) Helsel; 28 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; three step-grandsons; two sisters, Mary Ritchie and Emma Egan; two brothers, Louis and James Bondoni; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Paul C. Kelly, Sr., on Sept. 13, 1983; a daughter, Vera Rose Kelly who died at birth; her parents, Clement and Lodovica (Faccini) Bondoni; two sisters, Stella Giradini and Clementina Bondoni; a brother, Leo Bondoni; and son-in-law, Thomas J. Martin. The family will receive friends at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Sunday, November 16, 2003, from 6:00 - 800 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at Regina Coeli Catholic Church on Monday, November 17, 2003, at 10:00 a.m. with the Rev. Fr. J. Patrick Manning as celebrant. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
