Joseph James Zucchero's Obituary
Joseph James Zucchero, 90, of Alliance, died Friday, March 07, 2003, at 12:30 p.m. at Altercare of Alliance. Born in Chicago, Illinois on July 9, 1912, he lived in Alliance since 1914. Mr. Zucchero was the owner of the former Modem Electric Company and belonged to the National Electrical Contractor's Association and just received his 65th year membership pin. He was a member of Regina Coeli Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus Council #558. He is survived by his wife, Katherine Kirkham Zucchero; son, Roger J. Zucchero of Rotonda-West, FL; grandson, Dana Zucchero of Alliance; sister, Mary Ann Burkett of Anaheim, CA; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Sabastian and Josephine (Maley) Zucchero; a sister, Lena Kirkham; and two brothers, Samuel Zucchero and Peter J. Zucchero. Friends may call at the Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Monday, March 10, 2003, from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Regina Coeli Catholic Church on Tuesday, March 11, 2003, at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
