Joseph H. Reese 's Obituary
Joseph H. Reese, 72, of Alliance, passed from this world and entered healed and at peace, into the arms of Jesus, April 18, 2016 at 7:25 am at Canterbury Villa surrounded by his family.
Born on May 14, 1943 in Alliance, Ohio to Thomas and Margaret (Sina) Reese, he proudly lived in Alliance for all of his life.
A 1961 graduate of Alliance High School, Joe was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Joe always loved cars and pursued that hobby in his work as the owner of Reese Body Shop for 30 years retiring in 1998.
As a loving and hard-working husband, father and grandfather he enjoyed all sports, but especially enjoyed coaching his son’s baseball team. This continued with the next generation as he loved watching his grandchildren play sports. He will be deeply missed by his grandchildren whom he adored and who were the loves of his life. Joe was a long-time sponsor of Hot Stove League Baseball, had several Reese Body Shop State Championship teams and was a generous supporter of Alliance Firefighter’s Toy Drive.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Lynn (Vizzuso) Reese whom he married on April 24, 1971; a daughter Stacy (Michael) Needham of Powell, OH; a son, Joseph (Jennifer) Reese of Alliance, OH; three grandchildren, Emma Jo Reese, Lincoln Joseph Reese, and Stella Reese Needham; nieces, Shari (Charles) Anderson and Erica (John-Michael) Speelman; great-niece, Quinn Danielle Speelman and great-nephew, Trent Anderson.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Thomas and Margaret Reese; and brother, Larry Reese.
A special thank you to the staff of Canterbury Villa who made Joe feel so special with their care, love and support.
