Joseph "Tommy" Nesea, Jr.'s Obituary
Retired Alliance Police Officer Joseph Nesea, Jr., 82, of Alliance, passed away on Tuesday, August 6, 2013 at 3:45 a.m. at Alliance Community Hospital. Born on September 5, 1930 in Alliance, he lived in here all of his life. A 1950 graduate of Alliance High School, he was a veteran of the Korean Conflict, he served our country in the U. S. Army. He was a life member of the V.F.W. and the B.P.O. Elks. He was also a member of the American Legion and the Roma Club. He retired from the Alliance Police Department, where he was employed for 25 years and was a member of the F.O.P. (Fraternal Order of Police). Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Ethel "Wilma" (Morse) Nesea, a resident of McCrea Manor. Preceding him in death were his parents, Joseph and Mary (Micu) Nesea; and two sisters, Mary Hines and Annie Smerskey. A Memorial Service will be held at the V.F.W. Post 1036, Alliance on Friday, August 9, 2013, at 4:00 p.m. There will be no calling hours. Interment will take place at a later date at Highland Memorial Park. Arrangements are by the Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home, 1000 S. Union Avenue, Alliance, Ohio 44601.
