Joseph A. Nervi's Obituary
Joseph A. Nervi, 85, of Alliance, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, September 8, 2016 at McCrea Manor Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.
Born on November 9, 1930 in Alliance, to William and Nancy (Tomerine) Nervi, he lived in Alliance for most of his life.
He was a graduate of Alliance High School and a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.
A veteran of the Korean War, he served our country in the U.S. Coast Guard.
Joseph was employed at Alliance Machine Co. as an electrician and retired after 35 years of service. He had also worked part-time for Alliance Public Schools.
He was a Life Member of DAV (Disabled American Veterans) Chapter 50, American Legion, Post #76 of Sebring, Dante Alighieri Society, and the Fraternal Order of Eagles of Alliance and Louisville.
Joseph enjoyed bowling and was in several city leagues.
Survivors include two daughters, Janette A. (Bob) Murphy of NC and Janice A. (Bob) May of Maximo; son, Jay A. (Lisa) Nervi of Alliance; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Preceding him in death were his parents and a son, Joseph A. Nervi, Jr.
There will be no funeral services.
