Joseph P. Liberti's Obituary
Joseph P. Liberti, 81, of 164 Beau Chemin, Louisville, died on Sunday, June 23, 2002 at 2:40 a.m. at his home. Born in Alliance, on December 20, 1920, he had lived most all of his life in the Alliance area, moving to Louisville in 2000. A 1939 graduate of Alliance High school, he retired from the Alliance Post Office in 1976 after 30 years of service. Mr. Liberti was a veteran of World War II serving in the U.S. Air Force and was also a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Maximo. Survivors include his wife, Pauline (Corbisella) Liberti, whom he married on January 27, 1945; a daughter, Mrs. Henry (Paula) Harrison of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; three sons, David Liberti of Louisville, Thomas Liberti of Phoenix, AZ, and Gary Liberti of Des Moines, IA; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Preceding him in death were his parents, Sante and Francesca (Martinelli) Liberti; and a brother Armond. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Maximo on Tuesday, June 25, 2002, at 10:00 a.m. with the Rev. Fr. William Bantz as celebrant. Burial with military honors will follow at Highland Memorial Park. There are no calling hours. The Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke FuneraJ Home is in charge of arrangements.
