Joseph J. Falcone 's Obituary
Joseph J. Falcone, 90, of North Canton, formerly of Alliance, passed away on Tuesday, February 14, 2017 at 12:59 am at Mercy Medical Center in Canton, Ohio.
Born on March 10, 1926 in Alliance, Ohio to Vincenzo and Rosena (Nuccitelli) Falcone, he lived in Alliance for the first part of his life, and then moved to North Canton.
A graduate of Alliance High School, he was veteran of WWII, and served our country in the U.S. Army Air Corps., receiving a Bronze Star and a Good Conduct Medal of Honor.
Joe was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, and served as an Usher for many, many years.
He was self-employed and was owner/operator of a Dental Lab. He was a member of Christopher Columbus Society and Dante Alighieri Society.
Joe was an avid gardener who grew garlic among many other things, and freely dispensed it to family and friends. He also enjoyed his Italian heritage and cuisine. He enjoyed fishing, and loved his yearly trips to the Outerbanks with his family.
Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Ellen "Nell" Falcone of North Canton, OH; sister, Victoria (Don) Seacrist of Alliance, OH; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Vincenzo and Rosena Falcone; his sister, Angeline Sorge; and five brothers, Thomas Falcone, John Falcone, Sylvester Falcone, Mario Falcone and Marcus Falcone.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 18, 2017 from 10:00 am - 11:00 am at St. Joseph Catholic Church. His Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:00 am, with Rev. Matthew J. Mankowski, as celebrant. Burial will take place at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
