Joseph W. Dugan's Obituary
Joseph W. Dugan, 89, of Alliance, died on Wednesday, March 10, 2004 at 9:50 p.m. at Alliance Community Hospital. He was born on February 15, 1915 and lived in Alliance all of his life. He was a US Army veteran of World War II serving with the Glider Infantry of the 13th Airborne Division. He retired with 35 years of service as a shear man from the Morgan Engineering Co. Mr. Dugan was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. He was also a member of the Morgan Retiree Club and a lifetime member of the William Penn Club and the Dante Alighieri Society. He is survived by three stepsons, Harry Kline of Cascade, MD, Walter C. Kline of West Palm Beach, FL, and Ed Kline of Alliance; 14 step grandchildren; several step- great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife Eleanor (Dowling) Kline on May 8, 1994 (they were married on December 25, 1952); his parents, Edgar Charles and Mary A. (Ryan) Dugan; and two brothers, Edwin and John Dugan. Friends may call at the Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Tuesday from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. with funeral services beginning at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Fr. Donald L. Feicht officiating. Interment, with military honors provided by the Alliance American Legion Post 166 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1036, will follow at Highland Memorial Park.
