John Salaski's Obituary
John Salaski, 78, of Alliance, died on Friday, May 7, 2004, at Bel Air Care Center. Born in Akron on August 28, 1925, he lived in the Alliance area most of his life. John retired from Transue & Williams in 1987 after 40 years of service. He was a U.S.Navy veteran and attended the First Assembly of God Church. He is survived by his wife, Bethene (Allen) Salaski (they were married November 17, 1962); two daughters Cindy Salaski of Phoenix, AZ; and Joanne Hoffman of Homeworth; two sons John Salaski and David Salaski, both of Alliance; a sister Mary Hubbard of Walnut Creek; and a brother Joseph of Palmyra. He was preceded in death by his parents John and Veronica Salaski; a sister Anna; and two brothers, Louis and Frank. The family will receive friends at the Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Monday, May 10, 2004, from 1:00 to 2:00 pm. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Monday, May 10, 2004, at 2:00 p.m., with the Rev. Michael Ping officiating. Interment will follow at Palmyra Cemetery.
