John F. Pizzedaz's Obituary
John F. Pizzedaz, Jr, 69, of 513 Fairview Place, Alliance, died after a courageous battle with cancer on Saturday, April 20, 2002, at his home surrounded by all of his loving family. Born in Alliance on January 3, 1933, he had lived in the Alliance area for all of his life and was of the catholic faith. A veteran of the Korean Conflict, he served in the United States Air Force. He retired from the American Steel Foundry as a foreman. He is survived by his wife, Pearl M. (Doucette) Pizzedaz, whom he married on November 27, 1954; daughter and son-in-law, Cathy and Howard Henderson of Alliance; son and daughter-in-law, John Scott and Becky Pizzedaz of Alliance; daughter and son-in-law, Terri and J. J. Jones of Tallahassee, Fl; son and daughter- in-law, Chris and Teresa Pizzedaz of Alliance; granddaughter and her husband, Kristi (Sina) and Ken Koppenhoefer; grandchildren, Adam and Michael Henderson, Josh Court, John Pizzedaz, Corey Blair, Rebecca, Christopher and Jesse Pizzedaz; great grandson, Kameron Henderson; sister, Jean Gaume of Alliance; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Preceding him in death were his parents, John and Katie Pizzedaz, and an aunt, Rita Zaina. The family will receive friends at the Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Tuesday, April 23, 2002, from 6:00 - 9:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church on Wednesday, April 24, 2002, at 10:00 a.m. with the Rev. Fr. Donald L. Feicht as celebrant. Burial with Military Honors will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
