John J. Ondrovic's Obituary
John J. Ondrovic, 84, of Malvern, died on Thursday, July 26, 2012 at 8:40 p.m. at Altercare of Alliance. He was born on March 2, 1928 in Donora, PA, and lived in Donora for most all of his life. He had resided in the Malvern/Alliance areas for the past 10 years. A veteran of the Korean Conflict, he served our country in the U. S. Army. He was a member of V.F.W. Post 1409 in Monongahela, PA. Mr. Ondrovic was a member of Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church in Donora, PA. and retired from the Norfolk & Western Railroad Co, where he was employed as a Trackman. In his past-time, John enjoyed fishing. He is survived by a sister-in-law, Anne Ondrovic of McKeesport PA; and several nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death was his wife, Angelina (Rodriguez) Ondrovic on February 5, 2000, whom he married in 1966; his parents, Stephen and Eva (Kuchepache) Ondrovic; two sisters, Mary Polakovic and Anne Sisko; and a brother, Frank Ondrovic. The family will receive friends at the Anthony L. Massafra Funeral Home, 40 2nd Street Ext., Donora, PA 15033 on Thursday, August 2, 2012 from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church in Donora, PA on Thursday, August 2, at 11:00 a.m. Interment, with military honors provided by the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1409, will follow at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery in Monongahela, PA. Local arrangements are by the Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home, 1000 S. Union Avenue, Alliance, Ohio 44601.
