John T. Mitchell's Obituary
John T. “Tim” Mitchell, 70, of Salem, passed away on Wednesday, January 21, 2015 at 7:20 pm at his home.
Born on March 30, 1944 in Painesville, Ohio to John B. and R. Virginia (Eble) Mitchell, he lived in Salem for most of his life.
A 1962 graduate of Mentor High School, Tim also graduated from Fenn College in Cleveland.
A veteran of the Vietnam Era, he served our country in the U.S. Marines and was employed at Lehmann Mills of Salem as an accountant.
Tim was a member of NTPA, National Tractor Pullers Association, and enjoyed truck pulling and gardening.
Survivors include his four sons, John W. (Gina) Mitchell of Thompson, Matthew M. (Darby) Mitchell of Salem, James A. Mitchell of Akron, and Marc A. (Lei Ann) Mitchell of Berlin Center; ten grandchildren, Harli, Jesse, Frank, Connor, Madison, John “Keipfer”, Erik, Sam, Jake, and Luke; great-grandchild, Rayli Ann; a sister, Ruth M. Fisher of Rock Creek; a brother, Paul A. (Nga) Mitchell of Lancaster, PA; and a niece, Llyana of Tucson, AZ.
Preceding him in death was his wife Kathleen Jane (Williams) Mitchell, whom he married on May 25, 1968 and died on March 4, 2004; and also his parents.
Private funeral services will be held. Interment will follow at Franklin Square Cemetery.
Arrangements are by the Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home.
