John Phillip Essinger's Obituary
John Phillip Essinger, 70, of Alliance, died on Wednesday, April 25, 2007, 4:10 a.m. at Alliance Community Hospital. He was born on March 6, 1937 in New Castle, PA, and had lived in Alliance since 1971. A U.S. Army veteran, John attended the Alliance Evangelical Friends Church. Mr. Essinger retired from American Road Machinery, where he was employed as a programmer. John is survived by his wife, Joan (Tindall) Essinger whom he married on October 10, 1958; four daughters, April (Eric) DeMuth of Beloit, Juli Essinger of Alliance, Luci (Matthew) Boyd of Mineral City and Lisa (Martin) Meyer of Hartville; two sons, John A. (Ruthann) Essinger II of Birmingham, AL, and Marcus P. Essinger of Alliance; 12 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three sisters, Suzanne (Bob) Hill of Iowa City, IA, Kathleen (Howard) Schooley of New Castle, PA, and Linda (Sonny) Cook of New Castle, PA; four brothers, Fred Essinger of New Castle, PA, Joe (Connie) Essinger of Long Beach, MS, Tom (Barbara) Essinger of Hampton, GA, and Dennis (Theresa) Essinger of New Castle, PA; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, John A. and Thelma (Cameron) Essinger. The family will receive friends at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Sunday, April 29, 2007 from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. Funeral services will begin at 4:00 p.m. with Pastor Rick Sams officiating.
