Johann Howard's Obituary
Johann Howard, 83, of Canton, passed away on Tuesday, August 14, 2018 at 9:40 am at Canton Christian Home in Canton, Ohio.
She was born on March 16, 1935 in Republic, Pennsylvania and had lived in the Alliance area for most of her life.
A graduate of Alliance High School, Johann was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.
Joann was an avid Cleveland sports fan; following the Indians, Browns and the Cavaliers. She enjoyed gambling, but especially enjoyed the time she shared with her family.
Survivors include her two sons, Dan (Nancy) Kitson of Painesville and Dean (Gwen) Kitson of Williamsburg, VA; six grandchildren, Danielle Kitson, Jodi Kitson, Kaitlin Deskins, Patrick Kitson, Sam Kitson, and Noah Kitson; three great-grandchildren; a sister, Janet Anderson of Alliance; two brothers, Gerald (Joan) Flak of Canton and Ralph (Diane) Flak of Atlanta, GA; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Preceding her in death were her parents, John and Julia (Sapp) Flak.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, August 18, 2018 from 10:00 am - 11:00 am at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Her Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:00 am with Rev. Matthew J. Mankowski, as celebrant. Burial will immediately follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
