Joanne Norma Mandolesi's Obituary
Joanne Norma Mandolesi, 73, of Glendale, AZ, and formerly of Alliance, died on Tuesday, July 24, 2012, at 6:30 a.m. in Sun City, AZ. She was born on November 12, 1938 in Lorain, and lived in Alliance most of her life. Joanne was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. She was formerly employed at Sparkle Market and at Thorne s Supermarket. Mrs. Mandolesi was a member of the UFCW #880 and the AARP. In her past-time, she enjoyed baking and cake decorating. She is survived by her daughter, Monica Mandolesi of San Jose, CA; three sons, Edward (Margaret) Mandolesi, Jr. of Canton, Michael Mandolesi of Canton, and Matthew (Beth) Mandolesi of Glendale, AZ; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; five step-great-grandchildren; a sister, Judy (Rolland) Roy of Glendale, AZ; and several nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death was her husband, Edward Mandolesi, Sr. on May 7, 2004, whom she married on November 12, 1955; her father, George Francis; and her mother, Evelyn (Knight) Francis Gilmore. The family will receive friends at St. Joseph Catholic Church on Monday, July 30, 2012 from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at St. Joseph Catholic Church on Monday at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Fr. Matthew Mankowski as celebrant. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. Following services, the family will gather at the home of Edward and Margaret Mandolesi at 2531 42nd St. NW, Canton, Ohio. Arrangements are by the Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home, 1000 S. Union Avenue, Alliance, Ohio 44601.
