JoAnn (Freconna) Ruszkowski's Obituary
JoAnn (Freconna) Ruszkowski, 62, of Louisville, died on Sunday, April 25, 2004 at home. Born in Alliance on January 8, 1942, she lived in the Alliance area most of her life. A 1960 graduate of Alliance High School, JoAnn graduated from Kent State University with a BA in Fine Arts and was a teacher/artist employed in the Alliance School System for 30 years. JoAnn was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Delta Kappa Gamma, Ohio Art Education Association and the Alliance and Canton Domestic Violence Program. She is survived by her husband, Lester C. Ruszkowski (they were married June 19, 1965); a daughter Dr. Leslee (Jeffry) Ruszkowski-Axe of Uniontown; a son, Randy C. (Ann) Ruszkowski & their children, Jacob Lorenzo and Mary Margaret all of Canton; a sister, Gloria (Steven) Gardner of St. Louis, MO; a brother, Joseph (Sue) Freconna of Elyria; several nieces, nephews, cousins and one uncle. JoAnn was preceded in death by her parents Joseph and Dorothy (Brown) Freconna. The family will receive friends at the Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Wednesday from 6 - 9:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at St. Joseph Catholic Church on Thursday at 10:00 a.m. with the Rev. Fr. Donald L. Feicht as celebrant. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
