Joann Ramser's Obituary
Joann T. (Hagge) Ramser, 86, of Alliance, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, July 31, 2023 at Mercy Medical Center in Canton with her family and friends by her side.
Born on January 9, 1937 in Alliance to Joseph and Blanche (Waskovich) Hagge, she lived in Alliance all of her life.
Joann was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. A devout Catholic, she was an Eurcharistic Minister during her founding membership at Regina Coeli Church and participated in Adoration Prayers at St. Joseph Church for many years.
Joann was previously employed with Sharon Black providing childcare for over 30 years.
Joann enjoyed spending time with family, especially during Christmas, and listened to Christmas music all year round. She was a loving wife, mother, “Grama Rama”, "YaYa", sister and aunt.
Survivors include her husband Richard John Ramser, whom she married on October 7, 1954; her daughter, Barbara (Mark) Murphy of Minerva; three sons, Robert (Vicki) Ramser of Reading, PA, Rick (Kathy) Ramser of Alliance and Larry (Jeanie) Ramser of Alliance; three granddaughters, Amanda Murphy, Rebecca Ramser and Sophie Ramser; two grandsons, Fr. Robert Ramser and Adam Murphy; two sisters, Patricia (Don) Buck and Mary Catherine Debee; a brother, John (Cindy) Catich; a sister-in-law, Lois Hagge; special friends, Dr. Brad and Sharon Black, Daniell, Marissa, Alexandra, Bradford and Torie Black; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death was her father, Joseph Hagge; mother, Blanche Hagge-Catich; step-father, Pete Catich; a sister, Blanche "Cookie" Neely; and a brother, James Hagge.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, August 5, 2023 from 9:00 am - 10:00 am at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Her Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:00 am. Burial will immediately follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
