Joan Allen's Obituary
Joan L. Allen, of Alliance, was called home by the Lord on August 22, 2006. She was 70 years old; born September 2, 1935. Her parents were Paul and Nellie S. (Steed) Malott. She is survived by three daughters, Kay F. Davis of Texas and Lachelle (John) Thompson and Joan "Jody" (Darin) Foy, both of Alliance; two sons, Earl H. (Joan) Peters Jr. of Texas and Paul E. (Mary) Peters of Alliance; 15 grandchildren; and five great-grand-children. She was preceded in death by a son, Bobby Legg III; a granddaughter; her parents; her husband, Donny Allen; a sister, Betty; and one of her beloved dogs, Fanny Mae. She was an adored mother, grandmother and friend. She was a member of the Red Hats Society of Texas where she had resided the last four months. She will always be sadly missed by all. God Bless. Memorial services will be held at the Mainwaring Chapel in Alliance City Cemetery on Saturday, September 16, 2006, at 2:00 p.m., with Pastor James White, of Fellowship Baptist Church, officiating. There will be no calling hours.
