Jimmie Weibel's Obituary
Jimmie Weibel, 77, of Alliance, died on Tuesday, January 20, 2009, at 11:20 p.m. surrounded by his entire family at Alliance Community Hospital. He was born on June 8, 1931 in Alliance, and lived in Alliance all of his life. Jimmie attended Alliance High School and was a U. S. Navy veteran. Jimmie will be sadly missed by his family. He attended Alliance Baptist Temple. Mr. Weibel retired in 1993 from T & W Forge, where he was employed as a heater for 43 years. In his past-time, he loved to spend time with his grandchildren fishing and boating. He also spent much time reading scripture. He loved to spend time at WalMart and made many friends there. Jimmie was a loveable man, a good father, grandfather and father-in-law. He and his wife were inseparable. Jimmie is survived by his wife of 57 years, Helen (Shasho) Weibel, they were married on September 29, 1951; a daughter, Kathy (David) Courtney of North Benton; a son, James (Trisha) Weibel of Sebring; four grandchildren, Rachel (Nathan) Muniz, David Courtney, Rebecca Courtney and Michael Weibel; a great-grandchild, Ashlyn Noelle Weibel; and many nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death were his parents, Fred and Lena (Zmoos) Weibel; five sisters, Ida Bean, Emma Edinger, Goldie Forney, Lillian Manning and Geneve Sheehan; and a brother, Fred Weibel. The family will receive friends at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Saturday, January 24, 2009 from 9:00 - 11:00 a.m. Funeral services will be held at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Saturday, January 24, 2009, at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Randy Payne of Alliance Baptist Temple officiating. Interment will follow at Alliance City Cemetery.
