Jimmie C. Richmond's Obituary
Jimmie C. Richmond, 69, of Salem, passed away on Tuesday, December 15, 2015 at 11:29 pm at Mercy Medical Center in Canton, Ohio.
Born on April 12, 1946 in Alliance, Ohio to George and Lulu (Blake) Richmond, he lived in Salem & Sebring areas for most of his life.
A veteran of Vietnam, he served our country in the U.S. Army, serving in Germany & France.
Jimmie was employed at American Steel Foundry as a Laborer and retired in 2002.
He loved watching NCIS on TV and enjoyed antique cars. He especially loved spending time with his family and watching his grandson play baseball. His favorite day of the week was Sunday, because the family all gathered at his brother, Rickie's home.
Survivors include his wife, Pat L. (Common) Richmond, whom he married on May 3, 1969; daughter, Sharon Richmond of Clermont, FL; son, James P. (Mandy) Richmond of Canfield, OH; grandson, Gavin M. Richmond; three sisters, Roslee (Phil) Harsh of Canton, OH, Flo Kasapis of Canton, OH, Shirley (Dave Puckett) Forloines of Sebring, OH; four brothers, Melvin (Mae) Clark of Alliance, OH, Lyle (Margie) Richmond of Sebring, OH, Willie (Mardell) Richmond of Sebring, OH, Rickie Richmond of Sebring, OH; brother-in-law, Jim Sukosd of North Benton, OH; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death were his parents, George and Lulu (Blake) Richmond; a sister, Judy Sukosd; a brother, Walter Richmond; and a brother-in-law, Paul Kasapis.
Cremation has taken place and his Memorial Service will be held at the Columbiana Church of the Nazarene on Monday, December 21, 2015 at 4:00 pm, with Pastor Jan Winnale, officiating.
Memorial contributions are suggested to In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Columbiana Church of the Nazarene.
