Jim Brush 's Obituary
Jim Brush, 87, of Alliance, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 6, 2018.
Born on September 19, 1930 in Alliance, Ohio to James A. and Mary (Tomerine) Brush, he lived in Alliance all of his life.
Jim was member of Regina Coeli Catholic Church.
A 1950 graduate of Alliance High School, he was a veteran of the Korean Conflict, he served our country in the U.S. Army.
Jim was co-owner of Jim Charles Barber Shop and retired after 50 years of service.
He was a member of B.P.O. Elks, Lodge #467, Christopher Columbus Society, Dante Alighieri Society, and the Sleepy Hollow Country Club. He was an avid golfer, and enjoyed landscaping and gardening.
Survivors include wife, Dorothy "Dotte" (Butterine) Brush, whom he married on September 12, 1953; two sons, Bo (JoEllen) Brush of North Canton, OH, Kelly (Judi) Brush of Alliance, OH; daughter, Bunny Tobias of Charlottesville, VA; five grandchildren, Lindsay Ricketts, Jaime Valdez, Christopher Brush, Andrew Brush, Scot Brush; four great-grandchildren, Aydan, Jack, Santana, Cecilia; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death were his father, James A. Brush, Sr.; mother, Mary Brush; two brothers, Jerry Brush, Bill Brush; step-father, Louis “Gee Gee” Zaina.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, March 10, 2018 from 10:00 am - 11:00 am at Regina Coeli Catholic Church. His Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:00 am, with Rev. Joseph Ruggieri, as celebrant.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Regina Coeli Catholic Church, 633 Fernwood Blvd., Alliance, OH 44601.
