Jewell Rose's Obituary
Jewell (Holbrook) Rose, 91, of Alliance, went home to be reunited with her family on Wednesday, March 13, 2024 at Crandall Medical Center in Sebring, Ohio.
Born on January 11, 1933 in Olive Hill, Kentucky to Albert and Emma (DeBord) Holbrook, she lived in Alliance most of her life.
Jewell enjoyed being a homemaker and helped with the family business, "Jeff Rose Butcher Shop".
She was a member of the Knox Township Gun Club where she enjoyed spending time with her husband, Talmadge.
Jewell also enjoyed sewing, gardening, cooking, playing bingo, and spending time with her family and friends.
Survivors include her granddaughter, Tara (Beau) Grubbs of Akron; two grandsons, Kyle (Alyssa) Rose of Fairlawn and Brandon Rose of Alliance; four great-grandchildren, Riley Grubbs, Brooklyn Grubbs, Sawyer Rose and Roman Rose; several sisters, brothers, nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death was her husband, Talmadge Rose, whom she married on March 16, 1953 and who died on March 10, 2009; her two sons, Michael and Danny Rose; and her parents.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 21, 2024 from 10:00 am - 11:00 am at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home. Her Memorial Service will begin at 11:00 am. Burial will immediately follow at Highland Memorial Park.
