Jerry A. Pagnucco's Obituary
Jerry A. Pagnucco, 82, of Louisville, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Thursday, March 23, 2017 at his home.
He was born on July 8, 1934 in Alliance, to Valentino and Regina (Bortolucci) Pagnucco.
A 1952 graduate of Alliance High School, he obtained his BA at Mt. Union College and his MA at Kent State University.
Jerry taught at Atwater School, Alliance High School, St. Thomas Aquinas and retired from Jackson High School in 1994 after 30 years of teaching.
Jerry was member of Alliance Baptist Temple, the Louisville YMCA and the Dante Alighieri Society.
Jerry enjoyed Fly Tying and fishing; he especially loved to take his grandchildren and other children fishing.
Survivors include his wife, Frances A. (Paolantonio) Pagnucco, whom he married on July 21, 1956; three sons, Joseph V. (Denice) Pagnucco of Canton Township, Jeffrey S. (Naoko) Pagnucco of Japan and Kirk A. Pagnucco; three daughters, Cheryl A. (Robert) Thomas of Louisville, Kelly L. (Tom) Smith of Paris and Renee D. (Harold) Meyer of Massillon; eleven grandchildren, Shannon, Nicole, Whitney, Amanda, Kendall, Carley, Tommy, Jason, Louie, Riku and Anna; 6 great-grandchildren; sister, Norma (Louie) Magnacca of Dover; brother, Rinaldo (Sibylle) Pagnucco of FL; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death were his parents; and a sister, Katherine Maeluk.
His Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, March 28, 2017 at 5:00 pm at Alliance Baptist Temple, with Pastor Randy Payne officiating.
