Jennie M. Perry's Obituary
Jennie Margaret Perry, 85, of Alliance, died on Friday, September 7, 2007 at 4:05 p.m. at Bel-Air Senior Living Community. She was born on June 22, 1922 in Alliance, and lived here all of her life. She was a graduate of North Franklin Elementary School and Alliance High School. Mrs. Perry was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and their Altar and Rosary Society. Jennie retired from the former TRW in Minerva, where she was employed as an inspector for ten years. She also worked for Alliance Manufacturing as an assembler for sixteen years and was a nurse s aide for two years. She enjoyed participating in an all girls softball team and loved swimming. She is survived by her three daughters, Theresa Johnston of Canton, Connie Napier of Alliance and Marion Rose Brown of Las Vegas, NV; a son, Douglas S. Perry of Atlanta, GA; seven grandchildren; nineteen great-grandsons; three great-granddaughters; and several nieces and nephews. Jennie was preceded in death by her husband, August Joseph Perry in 1972 whom she married in 1940; her parents, Silvio and Esterina (Sabella) Scipione; a sister, Dora Brienza; and two brothers, Nick Scipione and Mario Scipione. The family will receive friends at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Tuesday, September 11, 2007 from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at St. Joseph Catholic Church on Tuesday, September 11, 2007 at 11:00 a.m., with the Rev. Fr. Donald L. Feicht, as celebrant. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
