Jeffery E. Rhodes' Obituary
Jeffery E. Rhodes, 68, of Alliance, died on Wednesday, July 6, 2011, at 2:22 p.m. at Ohio Valley Medical Center in Wheeling, WV. He was born on June 19, 1943 in Wheeling, WV, and lived in Alliance and West Virginia most of his life. He was employed as an auto body technician at American Auto Body in Live Oak, Florida. In his past-time, he enjoyed spending time with his family and collecting antiques. Jeffery is survived by his two daughters, Monica Freeders of Alliance and Kristi Dawes of Alliance; a son, Jeff Rhodes of Sebring; grandchildren, Amanda Hall of New Jersey, Ryan Freeders of Alliance, Destiny Dawes of Alliance, Faith Dawes of Alliance, Jeffrey Rhodes of Sebring and Jennifer Rhodes of Sebring; great-grandchildren, Sage Maria Hall; a sister, Trudy Carpenter of Florida; and many nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death was his daughter, Maria Dawes; his parents, Simon and Winifred (Postal) Rhodes; two sisters, Betty Mergenthaler, Esther Eddy; and a brother, Simon Rhodes. The family will receive friends at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Thursday, July 14, 2011 from 1:00 - 2:00 p.m., with a Memorial Service beginning at 2:00 p.m. Rev. Joe Peters will officiate. Interment will follow at Alliance City Cemetery.
